Gaza boss Vybz Kartel has made it clear that he wants to engage both Bounty Killer and Mavado simultaneously in a lyrical showdown on stage to mark the 26th anniversary of the popular Sting concert on December 26th (Boxing Day) at Jamworld, Portmore.

Among the Portmore emperor’s list of demands was that he wanted U$100,000 (approximately J$9 million) from the Supreme promoters to battle the two alliance deejays at the same time.

“Mi waan clash Bounty and the Barba at the same time, mi ready fi deal wid it, but Laing have to pay me U$100,000 fi clash dem, and the band we use have to be Ruff Kut or it nah go happen” – Vybz Kartel added.

On Tuesday, November 24th, Sting had its 26th Anniversary launch at the Pegasus Hotel, though none of the three entertainers were in attendance the mood was still high and climaxed with some heated exchange from graffiti artiste turn deejay L.A. Lewis and Mr. G much to the delight of the fans. The two are currently embroiled in a court case after Mr. G allegedly used his license firearm to assault L.A Lewis over some unsettled payments.

Though many waited with bated breath during the presentation for an answer as to whether or not the promoters were going to grant Kartel his wish the answer unfortunately was not forthcoming. Promoter Isaiah Laing however did highlight that this year would not be another Gully-Gaza clash as that was done last year and what transpires from here onwards will be determined by the atmosphere leading closer to the event.

After a handful of photos of Rihanna in the buff were leaked online, the singer was understandably embarrassed. However, after she got over the initial embarrassment, she says that she realized it was no big deal and thinks that all women should send their boyfriend nude pics.

“If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him. When it happened I sent my mom flowers first before I called and then she texted me – when the world is against me she’s always there supporting.”

The “Russian Roulette” singer is now comfortable being nude on the net, but says that in the initial aftermath she felt like she had lost the remaining shreds of her privacy:

“I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, ‘Oh great, so now there’s nothing they don’t know about me and my private life.’ It was humiliating and it was embarrassing.”

That being said, we can be sure that her new boyfriend is getting lots of naked pictures which may also one day end up on the web.

As we predicted back in January, Wale, Kid Cudi and Drake have had a huge impact on hip-hop this year. They’ve not only built a buzz for themselves, but they’ve found themselves standing alongside the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye West and 50 Cent. And, as GQ magazine points out, they’ve helped to quell hip-hop’s gangster persona and usher in a real-life focus. The three MCs are featured in the GQ’s Men of the Year issue in an article titled “Gangsta Killers.”

“Anybody from Cleveland will tell you, I wasn’t in the street,” Kid Cudi said. “Ask them, they’ll say, ‘Scotty was the goofy class clown.’ ”

The article points out the contrast between songs about “duct-taped kilos, exotic firearms, and freaky girls” and the lyrics of this up-and-coming generation of rappers. Cudi’s introspective raps have helped secure him a dedicated following that propelled his single, “Day N’ Nite,” into a top-five hit and stoner anthem, and his debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, sold over 100,000 thousand copies in its first week. Wale’s attention to lyrical detail has established him as D.C.’s first major hip-hop artist, and his live show earned him a spot as the leader of this year’s VMA house band and touring with Jay-Z. And Drake, whose So Far Gone mixtape and “Best I Ever Had” single made him the object of a label bidding war this summer, stood verse-for-verse with Eminem, Lil Wayne and Kanye West on “Forever.”

While they have each helped to establish a new aesthetic for rap, they aren’t too keen on being called “Gangsta Killers.”

“The dope boy is going to be a fixture of black culture as long as ‘thug’ is a legitimate option alongside ‘job,’ ” Drake told GQ. “But I’m not going to rap about how much crack I sold.”

BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge rapper who failed to follow a judge’s instructions in a drug case will now have to serve about two years in prison instead of one.
Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch pleaded guilty in September to a third-offense marijuana possession charge, and state District Judge Chip Moore ordered the 26-year-old to be electronically monitored and to clear his concert dates with the court while awaiting sentencing.
Under a plea deal, Moore had been expected to sentence Hatch to 10 years in prison with all but the first two years suspended, meaning the rapper would likely serve about a year. But because Hatch violated portions of Moore’s post-plea instructions, the judge sentenced him Monday to 10 years with all but the first four years suspended.

“The max he would do is two years,” East Baton Rouge Parish

District Attorney Hillar Moore III said after court.
James Manasseh, one of Hatch’s attorneys, agreed with the district attorney’s calculation.
Manasseh said his client left home without court permission and his electronic monitoring device died several times because he didn’t charge it properly.

“They were not terribly severe violations,” he said.

“He just made some bad decisions on his part and the judge felt he had to send him a little bit of a message.”

    Moore told Hatch,

“I really hope that you get it straight.”

“You have the ability to change people’s lives for the better, including your own,” the judge said.

Lil Boosie’s latest album, “Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz,” was released in September and includes a the lead single “Better Believe It,” featuring Young Jeezy and Webbie. The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200.
East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies seized a bag of marijuana, a cigar containing the drug, and a gun from a car driven by Hatch on Oct. 22, 2008. Besides the marijuana charge, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, Hatch was charged with possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, which carries a mandatory minimum five-year term.
Moore said Hatch will be on probation for five years after he is released from prison.
The firearm charge is being held in abeyance. If Hatch successfully completes his probation, the charge will be dropped, prosecutors have said.
Manasseh said his client felt he had to leave his home so he could earn money for his family:

“He felt he had to earn funds since he wouldn’t be able to do so while he was in jail. He wasn’t trying to thumb his nose at the judge, he just thought he was doing the right thing for his children. In the long run, though, he probably made it worse.”
